Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 2006

Towers Thompson were pleased to be included again in the second annual Top Track 250 league table which was published in The Sunday Times on 15 October 2006.

Top Track 250 ranks Britain's biggest middle-market private companies, based on sales in their latest accounts. Sales ranged from £378m to £138m.

Here's what the Sunday Times supplement had to say about Towers Thompson.

The firm supplies meat and poultry to retailers, food processors and caterers in Britain, mainland Europe Australia and New Zealand, including Towers branded Beef. Sales dipped £5m to £153.6m in 2005. Trading remained difficult in early 2006, compounded in March by the collapse of Dewhurst Butchers, a big customer. Based in Hertfordshire, Towers Thompson is owned by its management and run by chairman Alan Thompson.
